Council approves new Resolutions of Necessity

City Manager's Weekly Update,  June 25, 2015

The City Council took the following actions related to amending resolutions of necessity for the City’s acquisition of the Claremont Water System:

A. Conducted and closed a public hearing to consider the adoption of the amended resolutions of necessity authorizing the acquisition of Golden State’s Claremont Water System and the filing of an amended complaint in the eminent domain lawsuit, including providing all parties interested in the affected property and their attorney and representatives an opportunity to be heard;

 

B. Unanimously voted to adopt an amended resolution of necessity of the City of Claremont authorizing acquisition by eminent domain of those portions of Golden State Water Company’s Water System known as the Claremont District Water System to the extent located within the City of Claremont; and

 

C. Unanimously voted to adopt an amended resolution of necessity of the City of Claremont authorizing acquisition by eminent domain of portions of Golden State Water Company’s Water System known as the Claremont District Water System to the extent located within portions of the cities of Montclair, Pomona, and Upland, and an unincorporated area of the County of Los Angeles, State of California, or otherwise outside the boundaries of the City of Claremont.
